Writer - Book Coach - Teacher
Hi! I'm Andrea, a nature writer who's branching out into mystery fiction.
I'm the author of Uphill Both Ways: Hiking toward Happiness on the Colorado Trail, a memoir about escaping the disappointments of midlife while forging connections with nature and family in the wilderness. My essays and short stories have appeared in a range of publications, and my story "The Rest of the Story" was a finalist in the 2024 Maine CrimeFlash fiction contest. I'm also a contributor to Green & Healthy Maine Magazine. I have degrees in Human Ecology and Creative Writing from College of the Atlantic and the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast MFA Program. As a book coach, I help writers of both memoirs and novels get started, keep up the momentum through a full draft, and revise a complete manuscript. I also teach nature writing and nature journaling workshops. |
My BookOne grouchy husband. Three reluctant kids. Five hundred miles of wilderness. One and a half centuries of exploitation of natural resources. And one mom, determined to escape the humdrum existence of modern parenting and a toxic work environment for the family adventure of a lifetime.
